Charlotte Young

Charlotte has a First Class BA (Hons) degree in History from Canterbury Christ Church University. She specialises in 17th century politics, property and society, with an emphasis on the role of women during the English Civil Wars.

She joined Sticks Research Agency in 2008, and is an experienced genealogist. In addition to private commissions, Charlotte has contributed articles and genealogical research to Your Family History magazine, as well as assisting with research for Lost Voices from the Titanic (see our Publications page) and Greater London: The Story of the Suburbs. She researched the final series of Radio 4’s Tracing Your Roots, and contributed to the sixth series of the Australian Who Do You Think You Are? She also led a voluntary research project with an English Heritage site in Bedfordshire in 2012, exploring its significance during the First World War.
